Christina Aguilera has blamed the cancellation of her tour on her role in upcoming movie Burlesque – insisting the busy filming schedule left her no time to plan her concerts.
The singer is preparing to make her acting debut in the upcoming picture, starring as an exotic dancer alongside Cher and Kristen Bell.

Aguilera recently axed her U.S. tour, admitting she wanted more time to thoroughly rehearse before heading out on the road, and she admits her recent acting work contributed to her decision to postpone the dates.

She says, “I’m such a perfectionist. I’m not doing something unless I give my all. I haven’t had time to think about the tour, what with the film.

“The tour is postponed. But it’s definitely going to happen. I was going crazy trying to figure out what the setlist was and it felt too rushed, too soon. There wasn’t enough time to prepare the kind of show I like to put on – which is my very best.

“I knew we wouldn’t have the time to do it so the biggest, better Bionic tour will be next year, when we do have time.”
