Officials have ruled out alcohol as a potential cause of Sean Kingston’s jet-ski smash in Florida on Sunday.
The Beautiful Girls hitmaker, real name Kisean Anderson, and a female companion were hospitalized in Miami after their water vehicle crashed into a bridge.

Kingston, who is not thought to have suffered a head injury, was initially said to be in a critical condition as he underwent treatment in the trauma ward, but was subsequently moved to the intensive care unit on Monday after showing signs of improvement.

Officials from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission – who are in charge of boating regulations in Florida waters – have now released a report into the incident, and editors at suggest the investigation showed alcohol did not play a factor in the accident.

The report goes on to state, “Anderson was operating a PWC (personal watercraft) with a female passenger westbound along McArthur Cswy (Causeway) towards the Palm Ave bridge. Anderson struck the bridge and was transported to Ryder Trauma Center in critical condition.”

The report lists the star’s 23-year-old female companion as “uninjured”.
