British rockers the Arctic Monkeys have been forced to scrap two shows on their current U.K. tour to allow frontman Alex Turner time to recover from laryngitis.
The band postponed a Halloween night gig in Birmingham, England following the singer’s diagnosis, and the concert was just hours after he performed at the Mercury Prize awards ceremony in London.
A second show in Glasgow, Scotland scheduled for Friday has also been axed.
A statement from the band reads: “We wish to apologize to all ticket holders for any inconvenience this has caused.”
The two scrapped gigs will now take place on 20 and 21 November.
