Tragic singer Amy Winehouse has raised more than $368,000 for good causes from beyond the grave.
The Rehab hitmaker would have turned 29 on Friday and officials at a charity foundation set up in the wake of her death last year marked the occasion by announcing the staggering sum they have netted so far.
The cash will go to a range of good causes benefiting young people suffering ill health, addiction issues, poverty, or disability. Foundation bosses have already pledged a donation to a day center for at-risk youngsters and funded a full scholarship at the Sylvia Young Theater School, where Winehouse once studied.
They aim to raise $800,000 by the end of this year.
Winehouse died from alcohol poisoning at her home in London in July last year.
