Anjelica Huston is regretting her recent press tour comments about ex-lover Jack Nicholson’s manhood and Diane Keaton’s new comedy.
The movie veteran is doing the rounds promoting her new film John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum and she admits she’s still troubled by things she has said during recent interviews.
During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Anjelica told host Andy Cohen that Nicholson is well hung, while she also poked fun at Keaton’s film Poms in a Vulture chat, calling it a “humiliating” movie about “old-lady cheerleaders”.
Appearing on U.S. daytime show The Talk on Wednesday, the actress attempted to explain herself, admitting she’s no good at quick-fire questions.
“I think somebody should just give me a big shovel, so I could dig a big hole and dive into it,” she said of her remarks about Jack. “I’m still blushing.”
She added, “I also got in trouble the other day for criticizing the movie Poms… I’m a huge fan of all of the actors in that movie; it was simply that I read a script a year-and-a-half ago and the genre wasn’t for me, the subject matter wasn’t for me.
“I would never criticize actors. I know how hard we all work.”
Viewers then took a sharp intake of breath as Huston was asked what advice she would give Anne Hathaway, who has signed on to tackle her role in a remake of Roald Dahl tale The Witches, but the veteran was much kinder about the Les Miserables star, urging her to “stay hydrated”, and adding, “The rubber mask (I had to wear) was, like, a seven-hour make up job…”
