Justin Bieber is returning to his acoustic roots – the teen pop sensation is releasing an unplugged album later this year.
The Baby hitmaker, who was discovered singing a cappella on video sharing website, still plays acoustic guitar during many of his live performances.

Bieber teased fans about a possible acoustic record in a post on his blog on Sunday.

He wrote: “Maybe we need to give everybody an UNPLUGGED acoustic album with that new song I cut in Hawaii for the holidays…thoughts???”

But the star soon revealed he’s already recorded songs for the record. Tweeting his musical director and guitarist, Dan Kanter, he added: “Listening to tracks from the new UNPLUGGED acoustic album. feeling really good about it. @dankanter u excited. back to the roots.”

MTV News reports the album will feature also tunes from Bieber’s previous My World and My World 2.0 records, in addition to the new track.

The album’s title and release date were not available as WENN went to press.
