James Blunt is celebrating after smashing the world record for the highest-ever live gig, snatching the title from Jamiroquai.
The You’re Beautiful hitmaker shot into the record books on Tuesday when he performed on a plane flying over Britain at 41,000 feet (12,424 metres).

And he was delighted to land the title – especially after learning the previous record was set by his pal Jay Kay when his band Jamiroquai put on a gig at 35,000 feet (10,668 metres) in 2007.

He says, “I’m going to ring (Jay Kay) and have a good gloat. I can’t resist.”
