British royal Prince Philip has been discharged from hospital after undergoing exploratory surgery on his abdomen.
Queen Elizabeth II’s husband, the Duke of Edinburgh, had the procedure on 7 June at the London Clinic after falling ill and pulling out of a public appearance.
The prince, who celebrated his 92nd birthday in hospital on 10 June, was spotted smiling and waving at well wishers as he walked out of the clinic on Monday morning.
During his stay, Prince Philip missed a number of royal events, including the annual Trooping The Colour ceremony on Saturday to celebrate the Queen’s official birthday.
