Actor Josh Brolin is proud of his pal Michael Douglas for making his cancer battle public – insisting the actor’s bravery and positive attitude will help him “beat” the disease.
Douglas has been undergoing intensive chemotherapy and radiation treatment for throat cancer since his diagnosis last month.

And on Monday night he took to the red carpet in New York for the premiere of his latest movie Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps alongside his co-star and childhood pal Brolin.

The Milk star is full of admiration for Douglas for his dignified stance and he’s convinced his friend is taking the right steps towards recovery.

He tells the Daily Express, “He’s putting himself out there, he’s allowing himself to be seen, he’s not victimising himself. I’m really proud of him. I’ve known him for a long, long time and I’m very, very happy with the way he’s dealing with this. He’s not letting it beat him, for sure.”
