Country music stars Brooks & Dunn are coming out of touring retirement to hit the road for the first time in 10 years.
Singers Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn will kick off the Reboot 2020 Tour in St. Louis, Missouri on 15 May, and make stops in North Carolina, Florida, Texas, New York, and Georgia, before wrapping in Chicago, Illinois on 19 September.
“So much for ‘We quit,’ huh?” Dunn quips in a press release. “That horse that we were afraid of riding into the ground apparently didn’t share our sentiment… He gotta fire in his belly raring to go another round or two (sic).”
Brooks & Dunn embarked on what they claimed would be their final tour, The Last Rodeo, in 2010, before parting ways to embark on solo endeavors.
They ended up reuniting in 2014 and have performed a few live dates over the years, in between gigs for their Las Vegas residency with pal Reba McEntire, but now they are eager to get back in front of audiences around the U.S.
Brooks says, “The memories of playing live are what have kept the fire burning for us.
“Performers who have had the kind of nights like we’ve had with our fans can never really let that go. Live is where we’re most at home, and it’s gonna feel good to be back in the saddle.”
