Sons Of Anarchy co-stars Charlie Hunnam and Ryan Hurst are taking their love of yoga to the next level by teaching a class at the upcoming Motor City Comic Con.
The actors will offer fans taking the Yogis of Anarchy session next month an introduction to Kundalini Yoga, which the stars have been perfecting for months.
Hunnam recently opened up about his passion for yoga and meditation during an appearance on Live With Kelly & Ryan, telling the hosts, “I’m so new to it so I don’t want to put it out there that I’m, like, any expert.
“It’s sort of a chanting base. A normal Kundalini class is you’ll go in and do a little chanting to sort of get your mind in the game and then do very rigorous exercise for 45 minutes and then 45 minutes of meditation (sic).”
The Hindu practice centers on the primal energy located at the base of the spine.
The Yogis of Anarchy class will take place on the last day of the weekend-long event in Novi, Michigan on 19 May.
Attendees are urged to “bring your own yoga mat” and “wear loose fitting clothes and a head covering or hat.”
Hunnam and Hurst aren’t the only celebrity Kundalini Yoga lovers – Amy Smart is a certified coach and Australian model used it while she was pregnant with her second child: “It really teaches you that endurance and that stamina you need to get through, not just everyday challenges, but especially childbirth,” she told Harper’s Bazaar last year. “Through Kundalini Yoga you can really learn to take control of the mind through some of the techniques and meditations.”
