David Bowie is at the center of a bidding war to persuade him to make a return to the stage after eight years.
Bosses at promoters Live Nation have tabled a multi-million dollar bid for the 66-year-old icon to play a huge concert at London’s Olympic Park next year.
Now their rivals at AEG are reportedly considering a similar offer for the British star to headline at London’s Hyde Park, according to Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper.
However, a spokesman for the star has poured cold water on the rumor, telling NME.com, “There are currently no plans for any live dates.”
Next year marks the 50th anniversary of Bowie’s first single, Liza Jane.
