Famed moviemaker David Lynch will be honored for his career achievements by organisers of a Polish film festival.
The Mulholland Drive director has been named as the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award for Directing at the 20th Plus Camerimage festival in Bydgoszcz, Poland.
Lynch will be handed the honor on the festival’s opening night on 24 November and the event’s bosses will also screen a retrospective of his work.
Festival director Marek Zydowicz says, “David is a living legend who paved his way into the pantheon of cinema, a filmmaker who never compromised his own artistic credo. He is a dear friend of our festival and we are honored to bestow him with the lifetime achievement award.”
