Dance music star Deadmau5 missed out on the London festivities on the world-famous Gumball 3000 rally on Sunday after taking a wrong turn in his luxury sports car.
The producer and DJ, real name Joel Zimmerman, jumped behind the wheel of his famous Ferrari Spider 458, which has been dubbed the ‘Purrari’ thanks to its cat-themed exterior.
He drove down the city’s famous Regent Street, which had been shut down for the bash, as part of a fleet of 120 super cars, but somehow managed to miss a turn and ended up failing to make it to the checkpoint.
The mistake forced Deadmau5, who had traveled with the rally group from Miami, Florida, to return to his hotel while he awaited the chance to catch up with his fellow competitors.
He has since managed to rejoin the drivers to travel to Paris, France, as they continue the race across Europe.
The epic rally sees the Gumball teams roaring 3,000 miles (4,828 kilometers) across two continents and five countries in seven days, from Miami to Ibiza, Spain, where rapper Eve and her fiance, Gumball founder Maximillion Cooper, will wed.
