Diane Keaton doesn’t rate her acting skills – she can only play characters like herself and she’s terrible at accents.
The movie veteran is revered in Hollywood circles, but she insists her talents are limited.
She explains, “I’m me and I can fit into roles and I can really identify with roles I’m playing with, but I’m not really capable of becoming somebody else. I don’t know how to do it exactly.
“I’m not great with accents. I’ve done an accent and I got a lot of flack for my accent. That’s how bad it was in Crimes of The Heart. I knew a lot of friends who were really from the South and they said, ‘Huh?’ I tried really hard but I failed.
“I think, in The Little Drummer Girl, I tried an English accent in one scene and it was horrid. I’m limited.”
