Illness has forced Steely Dan star Donald Fagen to cancel the final dates on his North American solo tour.
The Reelin’ in the Years hitmaker canceled a show in Seattle, Washington on Wednesday night and two California gigs scheduled for the weekend. It is not yet known if dates set for Japan next week will go ahead as planned.
Fagen, who is still scheduled to hit the road as Steely Dan in October, was touring when he learned of the death of his longtime bandmate Walter Becker earlier this month.
Becker had been ill health for some time and had to sit out Steely Dan’s Classic East and Classic West festival dates in July.
After his friend and bandmate’s death, Fagen released an official statement, insisting he was planning to “keep the music we created together alive as long as I can with the Steely Dan band.”
