Kirk Douglas and his wife Anne will be honored for their charity work at a star-studded gala later this month.
The Douglases are longstanding supporters of the Los Angeles Mission, and founded the organisation’s Anne Douglas Center, which offers training for unemployed homeless women keen to get back to work.

And in recognition of their tireless work, the couple will be honored with the inaugural Anne Douglas Center for Women Award.

They will receive the prize during a ceremony at the Four Seasons Hotel in L.A. on 21 September.
