Michael Douglas will be showing off his piano skills at a very private function ahead of his starring role as the late Liberace.
The film’s director Steven Soderbergh has invited the movie veteran to show him and a few select guests how his music lessons are coming along.

Soderbergh says, “Michael decided to debut his Liberace in a little concert venue for me… He’s studying piano like a maniac.”

And the moviemaker admits the idea of playing the flamboyant pianist is something Douglas has been keen to do for over a decade.

Soderbergh tells The Hollywood Reporter, “Michael told me all the way back when we were shooting Traffic in 2000 that he’d like to give Liberace a go.”
