Ed Sheeran’s new album No. 6 Collaborations Project has propelled him to the top of the U.K. albums and singles charts.
The British singer-songwriter’s collaborative project, which features contributions from stars including Justin Bieber, Camila Cabello, Bruno Mars, Cardi B, and Eminem tops Fridays rundown with 57,000 physical sales, 18,000 downloads, and 70.2 million track streams in its first week of release, making it the fastest selling album of 2019 in Britain.
Last week’s top album, Lewis Capaldi’s Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent, falls to two, with Billie Eilish’s When We Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? at three.
Kylie Minogue’s Step Back in Time: The Definitive Collection and the soundtrack to the movie musical A Star is Born round out the top five.
Songs from Sheeran’s album dominate the U.K. singles chart – his collaboration with Khalid, Beautiful People, is at number one, knocking Cabello and Shawn Mendes’ Senorita down to two.
The Thinking Out Loud hitmaker’s team-up with Stormzy, Back to London, is at three, and Cross Me, another Ed collaboration, this time with Chance the Rapper and PnB Rock, is at four. Capaldi’s Hold Me While You Wait completes the top five.
