British funnyman Eddie Izzard has warned fans to be aware of con artists selling tickets for his 2013 stand-up shows in Europe because they are all fakes.
Tickets are yet to go on sale for the comedian’s performances in Amsterdam in the Netherlands and in Antwerp, Belgium next year, so he was shocked to come across an online post advertising entrance to his gigs for highly-inflated prices.
Reaching out to fans on his Twitter.com page, he writes, “Watch out for counterfeit tickets being sold at the moment for my Amsterdam shows. They are being sold at a cost well over the planned ticket price. Legitimate tickets for Amsterdam (19th and 20th April 2013) and Antwerp (21st April 2013) are not on sale yet. They will be on sale on the 26th July at 10am BST.”
