British model/actress Elizabeth Hurley has called in her lawyers to deal with allegations suggesting she romanced former President Bill Clinton.
The Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery beauty hit the headlines on Wednesday after editors at gossip blog RadarOnline.com published shocking claims suggesting Hurley had been engaged in a year-long affair with the world leader in the late 1990s.
The 48 year old, who had been dating actor Hugh Grant for 13 years until their split in 2000, has blasted the report, and revealed her intentions to sue.
Taking to her Twitter.com page, she writes, “Ludicrously silly stories about me & Bill Clinton. Totally untrue. In the hands of my lawyers. Yawn”.
Representatives for Clinton, who famously engaged in a sexual relationship with former White House intern Monica Lewinsky, have yet to comment on the latest controversy, sparked by actor Tom Sizemore, who claimed he helped set Clinton and Hurley up on a date at the White House in a taped interview, obtained by editors at tabloid the Globe.
