British actor Craig Fairbrass has abandoned filming his new movie Hijacked in Singapore after learning his elderly mother has gone missing.
Fairbrass, who stars alongside Vinnie Jones in the upcoming thriller, jetted back to the U.K. on Thursday following the news his mum Maureen, who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease, had not been seen since Tuesday.

Police are hunting for the frail 72 year old, and Fairbrass has made an emotional appeal in a bid to find his beloved mother, who was last seen shopping near her home in Kent, south-east England.

He tells Britain’s Daily Mirror, “I am frightened to death. She has no clue who she is, where she is or even what her name is. It is so sad.”

A police spokesperson adds, “There are serious concerns for Maureen’s welfare.”
