Fans of tragic DJ-turned-Soul Train host Don Cornelius converged on Times Square in New York on Saturday to pay tribute to the late star.
Devotees donned afro wigs and bell bottoms for the ‘flash-mob’ dance celebration, which was organized online.

The dancers recreated one of Soul Train’s signature ‘dance lines’, in which couples would take turns dancing for the TV cameras.

Cornelius was also honored at a memorial service in Harlem, attended by Revd. Al Sharpton and Roberta Flack.

Cornelius died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound on Wednesday. He was 75. His Soul Train show aired from 1971 to 2006.
