FBI agents are investigating terrorist threats that have been made about an upcoming Jackson Browne concert in Orlando, Florida.
Banners outside an Indiana church this weekend suggested a massacre like the one at October’s Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas was being planned for Browne’s Walt Disney Theater gig on Tuesday.
One of the banners suggested fans in Orlando would be gunned down “just like Vegas” with the date “Janury 23 (sic)” scribbled beside the message.
This isn’t the first time a Jackson Browne concert has been threatened – security for his show in Windsor, Canada was bulked up last year after venue bosses received threats before the gig, and police officials launched an investigation into fliers that targeted the rocker and his fans prior to a show in Purdue, Indiana last May.
FBI officials are taking the latest threats seriously after gunman Stephen Paddock shot and killed 58 country music fans and injured hundreds more when he opened fire on the audience at the Las Vegas festival on 1 October.
