Ferrell Lands Top Humor Honor

Will Ferrell has been named the recipient of the 2011 Mark Twain Prize for American Humor.
The actor, who has appeared in a string of movie hits including Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, The Other Guys, and Step Brothers, will be recognized among his peers at a gala ceremony in Washington, D.C. on 23 October.

A number of celebrities will be on hand to salute Ferrell as he accepts the award, among them Jack Black, Paul Rudd, and Bridesmaids star and Ferrell’s former Saturday Night Live colleague Maya Rudolph.
