Boxer Floyd Mayweather, Jr. has won a legal battle with a music producer who accused him of using a song ringside without permission.
The sportsman was sued by Anthony Lawrence Dash in 2010 over claims the champion played a portion of one of his tracks as entrance music during an appearance on World Wrestling Entertainment’s (WWE) Wrestlemania 24 two years earlier.
The producer sued Mayweather, Jr. and WWE executives for at least $150,000 in damages, but a judge recently dismissed his claim, according to TMZ.com.
The ruling reportedly stated that Dash was unable to claim a cut of the profits from Mayweather’s use of the song because he couldn’t prove the star made any money out of it.
