Fred Willard’s TV show has been cancelled just weeks after the actor was arrested on suspicion of lewd conduct.
Bosses at the ABC network have decided against airing the remaining few episodes of the funnyman’s improvisation series Trust Us With Your Life and will replace it with reruns of Wipeout. The series was one of the channel’s lowest rated shows.
The move comes after The Anchorman star was detained by police on suspicion of masturbating during a porn film at the Tiki Theater in Los Angeles earlier this month.
Willard has maintained his innocence since the incident and will avoid prosecution as officials at the L.A. City Attorney’s Office have offered him the chance to enrol on a counselling course instead of going to court.
