Actor Morgan Freeman was recognized for his career achievements at India’s Mumbai Film Festival on Thursday.
The Shawshank Redemption star was not present to pick up his prize, but recorded a video message to express his gratitude.

In the clip, Freeman says, “I have played all kinds of characters. I have even played God but my job is to tell stories and I am fortunate to do that. It has been a long journey and more is to come. I hope that people enjoy watching me.”

Freeman’s latest film, the family drama Dolphin Tale, was picked to close the 13th annual Mumbai Film Festival.
