Ailing actress Zsa Zsa Gabor returned to hospital on Friday after experiencing complications following her recent hip surgery – just two days after she was discharged.

The 93-year-old screen icon was treated at the UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center in Los Angeles after breaking her hip at her mansion in Bel-Air, California on 17 July.

She extended her stay after suffering a bad reaction to morphine and also developed an infection.

Gabor was allowed to continue her recovery at home and left hospital on Wednesday – but she is now back under doctors’ care, according to her publicist John Blanchette.

He was alerted to Gabor’s latest hospitalisation by her husband, Frederic Prinz von Anhalt, who claimed the veteran star was bleeding and in a lot of pain, and she was transported to a medical center by ambulance on Friday.

Further details about her condition were unavailable as WENN went to press.
