Lady Gaga has taken over New York City – the artwork from her upcoming album Born This Way has been painted on a subway train and the side of a taxi.
The Just Dance hitmaker’s snarling face and an image of her head perched on a motorcycle have been sprayed onto the outside of a carriage on the 42nd Street Shuttle service.

A bench of seats inside the train has been decorated with a huge banner containing the record’s release date, and promo posters line the interior.

The upmarket graffiti is part of the massive promotional campaign for the album, which hits stores on Monday.

Taking to her blog, Gaga posted several shots of the subway train, as well as a taxi cab which also carries the album artwork.

The singer writes, “Absolute Fantasy Dream Come True. My Subway Unicorn! New York City, We were Born This Way.”
