Mark Ronson decided to show off his voice on his new album, after Lady GaGa convinced him he had talent.
The superproducer previously turned to singing pals Amy Winehouse and Lily Allen to provide vocals on his records, but was inspired to use his own voice by a conversation with the Poker Face hitmaker.
He tells MTV News, “When I met her ‘Just Dance’ was sort of blowing up so it wasn’t too crazy. We were in the studio recording the vocals for the Wale song ‘Chillin’. She was actually the one that told me to take singing lessons – she was like ‘you should try singing, you never know’.”
