Singer Selena Gomez has been granted a three-year restraining order against a man accused of stalking the star.
Thomas Brodnicki was temporarily ordered to stay away from the Disney actress, and lawyers for the 19 year old returned to a Los Angeles court last November in a bid to extend the ban for three years.

Felony stalking charges against Brodnicki were dismissed after a judge ruled there wasn’t sufficient evidence that he intended to carry out a threat to kill Gomez, who is dating pop star Justin Bieber.

After he failed to show up at a hearing on 23 November, a judge extended the temporary protection order until 6 January and on Friday Superior Court Judge William D. Stewart awarded Gomez a 36-month protection order.

Brodnicki, 46, allegedly told his psychiatrist he was going to kill the singer/actress after having conversations with God about her. He then traveled from Chicago, Illinois to Los Angeles in a bid to meet the star.
