Paris Hilton has opened up about the Independence Day drama which saw an obsessed fan arrested outside her beachfront home, branding the man a “creep” and urging him to leave her alone.
The socialite was enjoying the holiday festivities at her house in Malibu, California when cops were alerted to a man sitting on the beach outside, peering into Hilton’s home.

James Rainford was detained on suspicion of breaching a restraining order which bans him from going within 200 yards (183 metres) of the star, and she watched from her balcony as he was bundled away in a squad car.

Hilton has now written about the incident in a post on her Twitter.com page, imploring the man to stay away from her.

She writes, “My stalker needs to leave me alone… Creep.”

Rainford was previously arrested outside Hilton’s home in Los Angeles in October, while he was later jailed for attacking her then-boyfriend Cy Waits outside a courthouse in April.
