Paris Hilton was quizzed by immigration officials in Japan on Tuesday just hours after she was convicted of possessing cocaine.

The socialite was handed a one-year suspended sentence on Monday and ordered to attend a substance abuse program after she was caught with the drug in Las Vegas last month.

And it appears her woes aren’t going away – sources in Tokyo tell WENN Hilton was stopped and questioned for several hours at Narita Airport after jetting in with her sister Nicky on Tuesday.

Shortly after receiving her sentence on Monday, Hilton was seen boarding a private plane and she took to her Twitter.com page to tell fans about her trip to the Far East to undertake a promotional tour of her Asian fashion shops, unveil her 2010 Fall/Winter collection and launch her new fragrance, Tease.

The hotel heiress posted a picture of herself and Nicky grinning shortly after arriving at the airport in Tokyo – but their joy quickly turned to despair when Hilton was taken to one side by officials and grilled about her recent drug conviction.

It was unclear whether Hilton has been allowed to enter Japan as WENN went to press.
