Paris Hilton has been hit with a lawsuit after allegedly failing to return $60,000 worth of borrowed jewelry.
The pieces, by Italian company Damiani, were loaned to the socialite in 2007 and stolen in a break-in at her Los Angeles home the following year. Police later recovered the haul and gave the Damiani gems back to Hilton.

Hilton has since allegedly ignored requests to hand back the items, according to bosses at the jewelry company’s insurer Allianz Global who filed suit against the star on Wednesday.

Five people are still facing charges in connection with the burglary, reports the Associated Press.
