House Jackson Died In Up For Sale

The California mansion where Michael Jackson died last year is up for sale – for a cool $28.9 million .

The King of Pop had been renting the Holmby Hills property in the months before his passing on 25 June, 2009 and his fashion designer pal Christian Audigier subsequently made arrangements to buy the house through his Ed Hardy clothing company to use as the firm’s headquarters.

There were also plans to turn the building into a Jackson museum and open it up to the public, but Audigier failed to obtain authorization from local officials for the idea and the venture was scrapped.

Now the sprawling estate has been placed on the market after its owners failed to rent it out with an asking price of $300,000 a month, according to

It’s not the first time the Holmby Hills house has gone on the property market – claims the seven bedroom home, which also boasts 13 toilets and a seven-car garage, was previously listed in 2008 for $38 million .
