Imposter Cons Top Store Bosses Out Of Jewellery By Pretending To Be Nick Cannon’s Sidekick

Mariah Carey’s husband Nick Cannon has found his name linked to a bizarre jewellery heist after an imposter pretended to be his assistant and conned staff at top Los Angeles store Fred Segal to hand over gems at a Hollywood hotel.
The unidentified man reportedly called the Santa Monica branch of the store, stated he worked for Cannon, and told staff his boss needed some jewellery immediately.
According to, a woman at the store agreed to take the select jewellery items to the Roosevelt Hotel, where she was met by another man who claimed to be a security guard.
He offered to take the goods up to Cannon’s room and return with cash, but he disappeared.
It is not clear how much the stolen jewellery was worth.
