Jennifer Hudson’s sister discovered their mother’s body on the floor of the family’s Chicago, Illinois living room after finding a bullet hole in their front door.
The singer/actress’ mom Darnell, brother Jason and nephew Julian King were brutally murdered in October, 2008 and Hudson’s estranged brother-in-law, William Balfour, is currently on trial for the slayings.
The dramatic emergency call made by the Dreamgirls star’s sibling, Julia, was released on Monday on the ruling of Judge Charles Burns, who decided against the prosecution’s pleas to keep the 911 tape under wraps until it could be properly placed into evidence.
During the three-minute call, a horrified Julia Hudson can be heard telling the operator, “Oh, God. Somebody’s killed my mother, somebody’s killed my mother… Please help me. Oh my God, oh my God.
“She’s on the floor and I see blood coming from her head… I just came home from work and there’s a bullet hole in our front door… She’s 57 years old. Please help my mama. Please just send an ambulance.”
Jason Hudson was found in bed with a gunshot wound to the head, while the body of seven-year-old King, Julia’s son and Balfour’s stepson, was discovered in the back of an abandoned SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) three days later.
Balfour has pleaded not guilty to the murder charges.
The trial continues.
