Jeremy Renner’s Bourne Sequel Ends Batman’s Reign In U.S.

Actor Jeremy Renner’s Bourne franchise debut has ended Batman’s three-week reign at the top of the U.S. box office.
The Bourne Legacy has rocketed to the top of the film countdown with an opening weekend tally of $40.3 million – $13 million more than second-placed comedy The Campaign.
The Dark Knight Rises drops two spots to three with a healthy fourth weekend take of $19.5 million and Meryl Streep’s new romantic comedy Hope Springs debuts at four with $15.6 million .
