John Legend has signed on to make his debut as a coach on the 2019 season of U.S. TV talent show The Voice.
Days after adding an Emmy Award to his Grammy, Oscars and Tony haul, becoming one of only a handful of artists to land the four big honors, Legend has confirmed he’ll be a big part of the 16th season of the program next year.
He will join returning coaches Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton.
“I’m thrilled to join the coaches of The Voice,” he says. “I’ve been a guest and mentor on the show multiple times and I’m so excited to discover talented singers and help them make the most of their gift. I hope the world is ready for #TeamJL.”
Legend will replace Jennifer Hudson, who is back as a coach for the upcoming 15th season of the hit show.
