Angelina Jolie’s Cannes Film Festival experience just got a whole lot better – her directorial debut has been picked up by Oscar-winning movie mogul Graham King’s production company.
In the Land of Blood and Honey will now open at Christmas in the U.S. prior to a worldwide release.

The deal was announced at the festival on Sunday, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The movie, which Jolie also wrote, chronicles a romance amid the 1990s’ Bosnian Civil War.

Jolie has been promoting the Kung Fu Panda sequel in Cannes.
