Justin Bieber’s bodyguard has been arrested following a run-in with a paparazzo in Atlanta, Georgia on Tuesday.
Hugo Hesny has been accused of stealing a $10,000 camera from photographer Jason Winslow after he allegedly got too close to the Baby hitmaker while he was visiting the city’s Sandy Springs Funhouse Arcade.
Police later recovered the equipment from a car in front of Bieber’s rented property and arrested Hesny on theft charges, according to the New York Daily News.
Bieber is not suspected of any involvement in the incident.
The pop superstar has been dogged by legal troubles in recent months – he is currently facing charges of driving under the influence, driving on a suspended license and resisting arrest without violence following a January arrest in Miami, Florida. He has pleaded not guilty to all counts.
Meanwhile, some of the surveillance footage filmed during the 19 year old’s stint in a Florida jail are expected to be released by prosecutors on Wednesday, according to the New York Post.
Bieber’s lawyers filed court papers to ban the release of further surveillance footage, citing privacy rights, after initial recordings surfaced online, but a judge decided to delay a decision until he had time to review the tapes which are causing the most concern to the singer’s team. Bieber is said to have been featured on the film urinating into a cup as part of a drug test.
