Kanye West is being sued by a little-known songwriter and producer who claims he copied 2007 hit Stronger.
Vincent ‘Vince P.’ Peters has accused the Gold Digger hitmaker of copying chunks from his own composition, also named Stronger, which he alleges was written in 2006.

Peters claims he gave music manager John Monopoly, a business associate of West’s, a copy of the song during a meeting at his Chicago, Illinois home in November, 2006, and was stunned when the rapper’s version began getting radio airplay a few months later.

Peters filed legal papers in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois on Friday and is seeking undisclosed damages and a trial by jury, reports AllHipHop.com.

West’s Stronger has become one of his biggest hits to date, selling over three million units and becoming the 16th most downloaded song of all time, according to the iTunes music download service.
