Rapper Kanye West has been charged with attempted grand theft and misdemeanour battery following an alleged scuffle with a photographer at a Los Angeles airport in July.
The Stronger hitmaker’s run-in with snapper Daniel Ramos at Los Angeles International Airport on 19 July was caught on tape, and now officials have confirmed they are moving forward with a prosecution.
On Friday, West was hit with two charges relating to the alleged altercation and an arraignment has been set for 10 October.
If convicted on both counts, West faces up to a year in jail, or a $2,000 fine.
Ramos claims West wrestled him to the ground and tried to grab his camera, and he subsequently filed a lawsuit against the star.
