Katy Perry is to debut a revealing new tune about her break-up with ex-husband Russell Brand at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas on Sunday night, according to reports.
Insiders tells People.com the singer will perform Wide Awake from her latest album at the ceremony.
A source tells the website, “It’s obviously about Russell.”
In the song, Perry sings about being blinded by love – the lyrics features the line: “I wish I knew then what I know now/I wouldn’t dive in, wouldn’t bow down.”
The singer and funnyman Brand split late last year, and the Brit filed for divorce on 30 December.
Perry is now reportedly dating Florence + The Machine guitarist Robert Ackroyd.
