Rap mogul Marion ‘Suge’ Knight has filed an appeal against a judge’s decision to dismiss his long-running legal battle with Kanye West over a 2005 shooting in a Florida nightclub.
The Death Row Records founder took West to court after the incident, in which he was shot in the leg, claiming he would not have been injured if the Stronger hitmaker had hired better security for the Miami Beach party.

He demanded more than $1 million in damages.

The case was thrown out of court last month, after a Miami judge ruled there was insufficient evidence to prove the shooting could have been prevented, but Knight and his lawyer Mark Brumer are challenging the decision and filed new papers on Friday.
