Lincoln co-stars Sally Field and Joseph Gordon-Levitt reunited to honor the Oscar-winning movie’s producer Kathleen Kennedy on Wednesday night.
Kennedy was awarded the Pioneer of the Year Award by the Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas in recognition of her stellar career, which includes producing blockbusters Back to the Future and Jurassic Park.
Field and Gordon-Levitt, who played assassinated President Abraham Lincoln’s wife and son in the film, were on hand to present Kennedy with the accolade.
Field heaped praise on Kennedy’s talents, telling the crowd, “As an actor, every moment of working on that film (Lincoln) was perfect…
“In an industry that is not and has not been female friendly… Kathy has beaten those odds the only way a woman can – by being so much better than… everyone else.”
