Lindsay Lohan’s father Michael has thrown his support behind a campaign to stamp out drink driving just months after his actress daughter was ordered to attend counselling in rehab in connection with a previous DUI conviction.
The Mean Girls star was convicted of drink driving in 2007 and has subsequently been in and out of prison and rehab, mostly recently completing a court-ordered three-month stay at California’s Betty Ford clinic in January.

Michael Lohan, who was himself convicted of driving under the influence in 2005, has now recorded a public service announcement as part of a campaign to stop people getting behind the wheel while intoxicated.

The video has been posted on Drinkinganddriving.org.
