Demi Lovato has announced a trio of new shows – her first since rehab cut short her South American tour with ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas and his brothers.
The teenager, who turned 19 on Saturday, underwent three months of treatment for a series of emotional issues and now she’s keen to perform new songslike her massive hit Skyscraper for fans.

Lovato will play two shows at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York on 17 and 18 September and a third gig at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles on 23 September.

She says, “This will be the first time I’ve been on stage for about a year, which is just, like, unfathomable to me because I’ve been performing non-stop since I was, like, 15. I’m getting back onstage for the first time after everything has happened. It’ll be interesting to see how nervous I am up there.”

The shows will be part of Lovato’s promotion for her upcoming comeback album, Unbroken.
