Madonna dropped a controversial image of a swastika from her show in Nice, France on Tuesday, just weeks after causing uproar at a concert in the country’s capital, Paris.
French National Front leader, Marine Le Pen, threatened to sue the Material Girl if she included footage of the Nazi emblem on a TV backdrop when her world tour visited the country.
Madonna ignored the warning and broadcast the image during her show in Paris last month – but when she returned to France for a gig in Nice on Tuesday, the image was dropped from her performance.
It came after thousands of Le Pen’s supporters staged a protest against Madonna outside the Stade Charles-Ehrmann venue in Nice ahead of the show.
